Summary:
For individuals who want to focus their studies and certifications on specific, targeted areas of the ITIL Best Practice in a Service Management environment.

Initial Requirements:
There are 3 tracks to choose from. The 2 primary tracks: Lifecycle and Capability consist of a series of certifications. The third track, Managing Across the Lifecycle is a final rationalization track.

The ITIL Lifecycle track consists of five individual certifications: Service Strategy, Service Design, Service Transition, Service Operation, and Continual Service Improvement. Each certification is based on one of the ITIL Service Lifecycle phases.

The ITIL Capability Stream consists of four individual certifications: Service Offerings and Agreements (SO&A), Release, Control and Validation (RC&V), Operational Support and Analysis (OS&A), and Planning, Protection and Optimization (PP&O). Each certification focuses on a series of clustered process activities, their execution and use throughout specific phases of the ITIL Service Lifecycle.

For the Lifecycle and Capability tracks, you must hold the ITIL Foundation Certificate or V2-V3 Bridge equivalent and attend an Accredited Training Course or Accredited equivalent.

The ITIL Managing Across the Lifecycle Certification focuses on the ancillary knowledge required to implement and manage the necessary skills associated with use of the Lifecycle practices. This track is a key requirement for achieving the ITIL Expert Level certification. You must hold the ITIL Foundation Certification or V2-V3 Bridge equivalent, hold 17 credits minimum (including 2 from Foundation level) from modules of ITIL certification (V3 and earlier), and attend an Accredited Training Course or Accredited equivalent.

Exams for all tracks consist of 8 scenario based, gradient multiple choice questions, with four answer options which are graded according to their accuracy. Exams are $275 each.
